David Buss Founder
David Buss is a nationally recognized tax attorney and trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals and families. Prior to founding Buss Consulting International, David was a tax partner at the international law firm DLA Piper for over two decades. His knowledge of tax law and trust administration, along with his business acumen, communication skills, and integrity, allow him to provide substantive value to wealthy multi-generational families navigating the issues they face. David advises the closely held businesses owned by his clients and is involved in all stages of their operations including, when applicable, planning and strategic advice upon exit.
David is the chairman of the board of directors of two subsidiaries of a public company. He also serves as chairman of their respective audit committees.
Beyond his tax and trust expertise, David has extensive experience in the field of art protection. He has personal relationships with the heads of major auction houses and has extensive experience negotiating insurance policies, storage agreements, and museum loan agreements, ensuring that families' valuable art collections are safeguarded. David has lectured extensively and published numerous articles on a wide variety of tax topics.

David earned his BBA from the University of Michigan, his JD from Albany Law School of Union University and an LLM in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
